The exceptional possibilities offered by our line of disc magnet stepper motors are unequaled by any other kind of permanent magnet stepper motor. Their advanced technology, developed by oyostepper, allows for truly exceptional dynamic micro stepper motor for sale performance. The unique thin disc magnet enables finer step resolutions than permanent magnet stepper motors in a given envelope, significantly higher acceleration due to low inertia and greater top speed than conventional steppers due to a shorter magnetic circuit presenting lower iron losses. Therefore, these stepper motors are ideal in applications that require fast incremental motion. This unique design takes full advantage of new rare earth magnets and features:

Low moment of inertia resulting in outstanding acceleration and high start and stop frequencies

  • Short magnetic circuit allowing high motor speed and current boost capabilities
  • Specific magnetization method gives smaller step angles than conventional permanent magnet stepper motors
  • Optimized package size yields incremental movement in the shortest possible time
  • Unique low detent torque and increased efficiency over other stepper motors
  • Highly customizable and available in diameters starting at 10 mm up to 91 mm

The rotor consists of an injection moulded plastic support and magnets which are assembled in a 10 or 12 pole configuration depending on the motor type. The large magnet volume helps to achieve a very high torque density. The use of high power rare-earth magnets also enhances the available temperature range of the motors from extremely low temperatures up to 180 °C as a best stepper motor online. The stator consists of two discrete phase coils which are positioned on either side of the rotor. The inner and outer stator assemblies provide the necessary radial magnetic field. The rotor consists of a thin magnetic disc. The low rotor inertia allows for highly dynamic acceleration. The rotor disc is precisely magnetized with 10 pole pairs which helps the motor achieve a very high angular accuracy. The stator consists of four coils, two per phase, which are located on one side of the rotor disc and provide the axial magnetic field. Special executions with additional rotating back-iron are available for exceptionally precise micro-stepping performance.
